Dallas Hall Society Luncheon

Honoring members of Dallas Hall Society, SMU’s society recognizing individuals who have named SMU in their estate plans, this special lunch will feature Michael Molina, SMU Associate Vice President of Facilities Planning and Management and Chief Architect.

Meadows Jazz Orchestra Brown Bag Concert

Bring your lunch and relax in the Taubman Atrium for a lively, free midday concert by the Meadows Jazz Orchestra. The MJO explores the range of large ensemble jazz from traditions of the famed big bands to contemporary compositions.

Panel Discussion: Before Engagement

Before Engagement: American Domestic Politics and US-China Relations After WWII is a panel discussion to be held by Joyce Mao, Charlotte Brooks, and Elizabeth Ingleson as a part of the Stanton Sharp Lecture Series.

Meadows World Music Ensemble Performance

The Meadows World Music Ensemble, under the direction of Jamal Mohamed, explores music from cultures and continents around the globe. The group combines traditional instruments from Africa, Asia and Latin America with standard western orchestral instruments to create unique interpretations of traditional folk melodies as well as original compositions. Hot drumming and imaginative improvisation are hallmarks of the group’s concerts. Free event. For more information, call 214-768-2787.

2020 Jerry LeVias Golf Classic

Enjoy a day of golf and fun with Head Coach Sonny Dykes and his staff! Proceeds of the tournament will be used to renovate the Vic and Gladie Jo Salvino Strength and Conditioning Center in the Loyd All-Sports Complex. Registration for a team of four is $2,500 or $625 per player.

Meadows Symphony Orchestra: Concerto Competition Winners’ Concert

The program features winners of the annual Meadows Concerto Competition, who are chosen to perform with the orchestra from a highly competitive field of talented Meadows undergraduate and graduate students. Highlighting the concert is the world premiere of Jason Mulligan’s They Come Through the Wires, a short work inspired by horror films, novels and games that takes the listener on a journey through anger, fear, anxiety, momentary relief and back. 9 – 10:30 a.m President's Associates Brunch Celebration Honoring donors who have contributed $1,000 or more to current use funds in support of Pony Power on an annual basis.
