Outstanding Senior Awards
The SMU Mothers' and Dads' Clubs look forward to the opportunity each spring to select and honor the Outstanding Senior Woman and the Outstanding Senior Man of SMU! The Deans from each school select two women and two men as nominees.

The two students selected as the Outstanding Senior Woman and the Outstanding Senior Man are chosen not only for their high academic achievement, but also for their leadership and service.
The 2008 Outstanding Senior Awards Reception was held at the home of President and Mrs. R. Gerald Turner on April 21, 2008. All nominees and their families are celebrated at this event.
Later in the evening, at the SMU Awards Extravaganza, Daniel Liu was recognized as the 2008 Outstanding Senior Man by SMU Dads' Club President, David Lott. Julie Ann Lutz was recognized as the 2008 Outstanding Senior Woman by SMU Mothers' Club President, Betty Wright.
