First Year Students
All housing application materials should be returned to the Admission office in order to expedite processing. First-years who have already turned in their housing application & contract and want to add a roommate request or change housing preferences must do so in writing or on-line using the First Year Student Request to Update the Housing Application form.
Returning Students! Looking for housing for 2008-09?
It is not too late to apply for residence halls for the upcoming academic year! Application forms are available in the RLSH central office (3058 SMU Blvd.) Applicants will be placed on the waiting list and notified of their status on May 1.
Waitlist applications are also still being accepted for SMU Apartments located in the northern portion of campus. Waitlisted applicants will be called if apartments become available.
SMU Apartments on Binkley
SMU is committed to providing a campus environment that best meets the needs of our students today and in the future. Toward that end, the University has been making campus changes to provide space for such enhancements as additional residence halls, intramural fields and other facilities. As a part of this process, the University will close the apartments located on Binkley Avenue effective June 1, 2008 so the land can be cleared. Current residents in the Binkley area have been notified by letter that the lease for their current SMU Apartment will not be renewed. All residents need to move-out of their apartments on or before May 31, 2008, which is the last date of the current lease.
