This spring we will once again kick off Founders’ Day Weekend with Golden Mustangs Day, Thursday April 6, 2017. This special reunion brings alumni from the classes of 1966 and earlier to campus for activities that include lunch and a guided tour of the newly renovated Central University Libraries.

10:30 a.m. Registration and Check-in for Central University Libraries Tour
To participate in the tour of Central University Libraries, please check in at Moody Coliseum’s Miller Event Center at 10:30 a.m. Transportation will be available to and from the Miller Event Center for guests’ convenience.
10:45 a.m. Central University Libraries Tour
Tour the new Central University Libraries renovation, including the dramatic restoration of the Fondren Foundation Centennial Reading Room, Hillcrest Foundation Exhibit Hall, Caren H. Prothro Learning Commons and Collaborative Commons, complete with a Starbucks Café. Then hear from Gillian M. McCombs, dean and director of SMU’s Central University Libraries, as she highlights the transformation of resources, facilities and services under her tenure.
12:00 p.m. Golden Mustangs Luncheon at the Miller Event Center
Join us at noon for a seated lunch to visit with fellow classmates, friends and current SMU students. Check-in for lunch at the Miller Event Center begins at 11:30 a.m.
12:45 p.m. “To Tell the Truth: SMU Edition”
Move over, Bud Collyer. SMU’s edition of the popular game show “To Tell the Truth” will feature a panel of Golden Mustangs who will test their skills against a team of student challengers showcasing some incredibly unique student experiences. Audience participation will be encouraged, so be prepared to cast your vote for the central character who is sworn “to tell the truth”!
