Ph.D. Degree
Minimum requirements for admission to the Ph.D. program in Statistical Science are as follows:
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree and must have taken mathematics courses through advanced calculus and linear algebra.
- A degree in a major such as mathematics, statistics or engineering is preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills are required.
The GRE General Test is required (SMU code is 6660).
International students applying from countries where English is not the native language are required to provide scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) (SMU code is 6660).
