The Psychology Department consists of a vibrant group of faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students who seek to understand human behavior and, in turn, to make the world a better place.

We offer undergraduate B.A. and B.S. degrees, an M.S. degree in Organizational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.

Our faculty members’ research spans a diverse range of topics, including family relationships, health behaviors, personality, cognition and the brain, and mental illnesses. In terms of faculty research productivity, our department ranks in the top 10% of psychology departments nationally (Academic Analytics). The SMU Psychology Clinic is a non-profit training clinic housed within SMU’s Department of Psychology.

M.S. in Organizational Psychology

The Masters of Science in Organizational Psychology MS is a 36-hour, cohort-based program including advanced coursework in program evaluation, diversity at work, leadership and teams, people analytics, and practical experience through an applied internship.
