Felix Chen Asian Studies Award
The Asian Studies Faculty Council is pleased to announce the Felix Chen Award for Asian Studies and Chinese Studies. These awards have been created through the generous donation of Felix Chen, a Dallas based businessman, for students at SMU. The purpose of the awards is to increase awareness of Asia in the SMU community and to encourage students to pursue Asian Studies and Chinese Studies. In the hope of achieving these goals Felix Chen has established ten awards up to $1,500 each. The awards will be presented to the ten most suitable students to assist them financially in their study of Asia and China.
To be eligible for the award, students must have declared a minor in Asian Studies or Chinese Studies. Previous recipients are not eligible. To be considered, please submit an application and essay by March 8, 2013.
