An attorney, trained mediator, and full-time lecturer at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Cox School of Business, Professor Kincaid instructs MBA, BBA, and business minor law courses. She has received the "Rotunda Outstanding Teaching Award", the "Willis M. Tate Faculty Award", and fifteen "Cox School Outstanding Instructor Awards". She served as a visiting professor of law at Marie Curie Skladowska University in Poland, lectured to Executive MBA students at the Budapest University of Economics and Technology, and taught at SMU-in-Oxford. She also teaches during multiple terms at SMU-in-Taos, is a group fitness instructor the SMU Dedman Center, and sponsors several student organizations.
In the community, Mrs. Kincaid has served on the board of directors of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras and accompanied those students on performance tours of England, Scotland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. She is active within her church and a member of the Junior League of Dallas. A native of Kansas City, Mrs. Kincaid resides in Highland Park with her husband, Sam, a Cox School MBA/BBA graduate and managing director of Silver Raven Advisors, LLC. Their younger son, William, who holds a history degree from Hampden-Sydney and masters in management from Wake Forest, is a senior sales associate with JP Morgan Chase. Their older son, Thomas, a former SMU student body president with history and finance degrees from SMU, and a masters of divinity from Duke, is vice rector of the Church of the Incarnation. Thomas' wife, Elisabeth, who has degrees from Rice, University of Texas Law School, and SMU Perkins School of Theology, is a PhD candidate at Notre Dame. Thomas and Elisabeth are parents of a baby daughter, Mary Clare.
