Cancel Enrollment or Switch Sessions for a Workshop
Those enrolled in an HR workshop may check the status of their enrollment at any time by logging into Access.SMU>Self Service>Learning and Development>Request Training Summary. A Training Summary will list all workshops completed, enrolled in, or cancelled out of (at the employee's request). Please note our cancellation policy for all workshops.
Cancellation Policy for HR Workshops
If you have enrolled in a course and are unable to attend, we ask that you notify Organizational Effectiveness at least 48 hours prior to the class. Providing as much advance notification as possible will allow us to contact other staff and faculty members who are on the wait list and hoping to attend.
Failure to comply with this policy more than once in an academic year, may result in a $75 fee charged to your department. By requesting enrollment in a course, you are acknowledging and accepting this cancellation policy.
Cancel Enrollment in an HR Workshop
To cancel your enrollment in an HR Workshop (Professional Development, Quick Take Session, Manager Orientation) send us a cancellation email using the email link at the bottom of this page with the following information:
Please allow us 24 hours to change your status from "Enrolled" to "Cancel".
Switch Sessions of an HR Workshop
To switch sessions of an
HR Workshop (Professional Development, Quick Take Session, Manager
Orientation) send us a cancellation email using the email link at the
bottom of this page with the following information:
Please allow us 24 hours to switch your enrollment to the new session.
If the session is full,
we will place you on the waitlist and notify you of your status. If an
opening becomes available, we will email you to determine your
availability before changing your status to enrolled. We do recommend
that you block your schedule for the date and time as we often access
the waitlist to fill the class. You may check the status of your
enrollment by viewing your training summary in Access.SMU.
