Colleen R. Logan, PhD, LPC-S

In addition to serving in numerous academic and administrative positions, Dr. Logan also served as the president of the American Counseling Association (ACA), 2008–2009, and president of the Texas Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues in Counseling TAGLBTIC), a division of the Texas Counseling Association, 2009–2010. She has recently been elected as Director Elect representing TAGLBTIC on the Texas Counseling Association’s board of directors. She has been recognized for her contributions to the field of counseling and affirmative therapy with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and their significant others.

Dr. Logan has presented locally, nationally, and internationally, on issues related to counseling gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender clients. In addition, she has authored or co-authored many articles and chapters as well as a book regarding how to work effectively with gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender clients and their significant others. Dr. Logan maintains a small counseling private practice specializing in affirmative and enrichment counseling and supervision.
