Dr. Robinson-Doyle's academic journey is marked by a deep-seated commitment to addressing poverty, homelessness, and food insecurity. Her work serves as a catalyst for raising awareness about these critical issues and, more importantly, empowers her students to take meaningful actions to drive positive change within their communities. Her passion for social justice and unwavering dedication to eradicating poverty go beyond mere academic interests; they represent a personal mission to create a more equitable and compassionate world.

Through her research and innovative teaching methods, Dr. Robinson-Doyle fosters a sense of responsibility and empathy within the hearts of her students. She instills in them a drive to become advocates for change, empowering the next generation to be leaders in the fight against poverty and injustice.

Before becoming a member of the SMU community, Dr. Robinson-Doyle embarked on a distinguished career that traversed the realms of military research and public health. Her talents were harnessed by the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE), where she was awarded a research fellowship with Oak Ridge Institute of Science and Education. In this dual role, she demonstrated a commitment to advancing the physical readiness of soldiers preparing for deployment. Furthermore, with her mental health and resiliency expertise, Dr. Robinson-Doyle worked with the U.S. Public Health Command, designing and executing suicide prevention initiatives and reintegration programs within the military community. Dr Robinson-Doyle played a vital role in developing and implementing programs that directly impacted the well-being of service members, particularly those transitioning back to civilian life after deployment.

Today, as a member of the SMU community, Dr. Robinson-Doyle continues to bring her wealth of experience and dedication to advance academic and practical endeavors. Her mission is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have been hidden and placed on the margins of society, all while inspiring the next generation of leaders to boldly confront the most pressing challenges of our time with compassion, intellect, and unwavering dedication to social justice.
