Randal Diercoff joined the SMU Wellness Department as an instructor of Scuba in 2009 after assisting in the program since 1995.

Professor Diercoff began scuba diving in 1984 at Texas A&M.  After several years of diving, he started to explore the more “technical” side of diving and entered into cave, wreck and mixed gas diving. In 1994, he became a recreational and technical instructor.  In 1995, he became an Instructor Trainer/Course Director in both recreational and technical diving

Graduated 1988 Texas A&M, BS in Finance.

Diving since 1984.  Technical diver since 1992.

Instructor since 1994.  Technical instructor since 1994. 

Instructor trainer/Course Director since 1995. 

Professor Diercoff has completed over 13,000 dives.  Presently, he is also employed as a commercial salvage diver.  He lives in Plano, is a Dallas native, and has two beautiful daughters, Rachel (13) and Jeanette (10).
