Summer Youth

For more than fifteen years, the SMU Summer Youth Program welcomed thousands of Collin County students and their families to SMU-in-Plano. We look forward to exciting opportunities as part of SMU Global and Online, a new organization that incorporates leading-edge technologies, innovative modes of learning, and teaching for real-life solutions in programs to empower learners of all ages. We no longer offer K – 12 programs at SMU-in-Plano.

Summer 2019: NEW Pre-College Workshops

Programs for ambitious middle and high school students, designed to equip you with essential knowledge and skills to succeed in college. Choose from workshops in topics like:

  • Technology
    Use emerging tools and platforms to discover topics like cybersecurity, data science, and coding.

  • Visual Art
    Explore traditional and digital media and experiment with various techniques to express your creativity.

  • Engineering
    Work individually and in teams to design, build, and control systems and tools using a variety of engineering principles and techniques.

  • Business & Entrepreneurship
    Develop leadership skills and learn about models and processes to research, develop, market and sell unique products or services.

  • Academic Excellence
    Build skills and strategies to prepare for college applications and admissions, and gain confidence to succeed in  your next academic step.
