Individual study rooms at Fondren Library and Hamon Arts
Library are available on a first-come, first-serve basis to SMU Graduate
and Doctoral students. When there is a waiting list, first priority
will be given to students working on dissertations and theses.
Lockers and short-term group study rooms are also available to SMU students, faculty, and staff.
Graduate Study Rooms
Master and PhD students currently enrolled in the Meadows School of
the Arts are eligible to apply for a secure graduate study room. The
study rooms may be reserved for one semester or academic year. However,
all applications must be renewed every fall. Assignments are made
based on seniority in your program. If the demand is high, two
students will be assigned to a single study room. Submit completed
applications to LaGail Davis at the Hamon Arts Library services desk.
Deadline for applications apply. See “How to Apply for Study Room.”
If you have questions about reserving a room, contact LaGail Davis by e-mail at lagail@smu.edu or by phone at 214-768-4437.
