AV Study Room

Audiovisual study rooms

The Audiovisual study rooms 2270 & 3270 seat up to 4 people and have multimedia capabilities including a widescreen monitor, laptop adaptors, HDMI connectors and a Blu-ray disc player for playing Blu-ray discs, CDs and DVDs. A turntable and electric keyboard are available for check out at the 1st floor services desk.

Circulating collections and circulation policies

The Hamon Arts Library currently owns over 17,000 CDs, 10,000 LP records, and nearly 17,000 DVDs, as well as audio and videocassette tapes, and laser discs. The scope of the collection includes materials related to music, the visual and performing arts from antiquity through the present day, and from both western and international traditions. Access to the collection is located on the first floor.

KIC scanner

KIC Scanner

The KIC overhead scanner, located on the first floor, is very popular due to its high resolution, ease of use, and ability to save images to a flash drive or email them to a personal account.


SMU concert and recital recordings

The Hamon Arts Library holds the SMU Division of Music Concert and Recital Recordings Archives.
