All reproduction requests are reviewed and completed by DeGolyer Library staff, and copies will be made in compliance with donor stipulations and with the Fair Use clause of the United States copyright law. The Library’s sale of a reproduction does not imply an authorization to publish it.
The Library reserves the right to restrict the total number of copies made and to decide whether a particular item may be reproduced to ensure that copying or scanning will not damage original materials. Photographs over 75 years old will not be photocopied. While staff will take reasonable care in making copies, the Library assumes no responsibility for the quality of the reproductions.
Requested copies will be available within 5 business days of the request. Payment for the expected charge must be arranged at the time the request is made. Please see our fee schedule. Researchers can request hard copies or PDFs.
It is the user’s responsibility to obtain permission to publish texts and facsimiles from the owners of the copyright.
