April is the newest member of our team and we are thrilled to have her! Although April grew up in south Texas, she was born in Dallas and considers DFW her home. Before heading off to college at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, April spent a summer  in India and Malaysia, where the spark for travel and culture was ignited.  Since graduating, she has traveled to Moldova in Eastern Europe and returned to India for six months to work for a non-profit combating human trafficking. Not having studied abroad in college herself, April is passionate about helping students take advantage of the wonderful opportunities SMU Abroad offers, broadening their worldview and creating a sense of identity as it relates to the world around them. April has two dogs and is a wife and new mom. When she’s not reining in the chaos of her household, you can find her curled up with a good book at a coffee shop, pursuing the most important things in life - personal growth and coffee.
