Frankie grew up in Panama City, Florida, and is on a mission to explore all the best parts of Dallas (recommendations welcome)! Her desire to experience other cultures firsthand led her to major in Spanish at Berry College and to study abroad in Guanacaste, Costa Rica and Barcelona, Spain. She has also visited Austria, France, Italy, Mexico, Canada, and 43 of the 50 states. She is excited to be part of SMU Abroad and believes that before you can change the world, you have to let the world change you.

Cori was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but was raised in Dallas, Texas.  Not quite ready to say goodbye to the Tex-Mex and heat, she stayed close for college and graduated cum laude from SMU with a B. A. in psychology and philosophy.  Cori studied abroad in Paris as an undergraduate and Sydney as a graduate student. Beyond study abroad, she also traveled to several other countries.  Cori also completed her Master of Science in Counseling at SMU, and studied abroad again in Sydney during her time in the program. Outside of the office, Cori spends her time planning her next adventure and working at the Lifeologie Institute for Counseling

   

Allison Witucki Russell

Born and raised in Houston, TX Allison spent her college years at St. Edward’s University in Austin where she earned a B.A. in Kinesiology. During her time there, she studied abroad at the University of Canberra, in Canberra, Australia studying Sports Management.  Allison loves her job and is passionate about helping students broaden their educational experience by immersing themselves in the cultural and curriculums of partner universities.  Currently pursuing her Master’s in the SMU Dispute Resolution Program, Allison now considers herself a true Mustang!  Through her Master’s program, Allison has also traveled to Rwanda and Kenya to teach Conflict Management and Peacebuilding.  Allison has a Golden Retriever named Brisbane, and a wonderful husband; she loves photography, traveling, and the great outdoors, especially hiking and sailing.

Christie is a native Dallasite, who graduated from SMU in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, French, and Political Science. During her four years at SMU, Christie studied in Paris, the south of France, and spent a semester in Washington D.C. in an international law program that traveled throughout Europe.  Upon graduation, Christie was accepted into the Teaching Assistantship Program in France and spent a year living and working in Châlons-en-Champagne.  She feels her international experiences has contributed exponentially to her education and perspective on life.  In 2013, Christie joined the TEDxSMU team, and also worked with K-12 engineering education for the Lyle School of Engineering.  She is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Studies with dual concentration on Global Studies and Organizational Dynamics.

Ann joined our office in August, 2015.  She is a Dallas native and 4th generation Texan.  Her father and brother are SMU grads, but she chose Smith College for its Junior Year Abroad in Paris program, which she still considers to be one of the best years of her life!  After college, she received her MBA from McCombs School of Business at UT Austin.   In her diverse career she has worked for banks, for a French design firm, for the Hockaday School and the Dallas Zoo.  She is married to a Canadian and they have a daughter studying graphic design in New York City.

Cathy arrived at SMU in 2013, delighted to work at a university with such a long and distinguished history of study abroad. In her career, she has helped create international programs with faculty, led fellowships and honors programs, and advocated for an individualized and networked approach to advising undergraduates.She believes that to be world-ready, undergraduates need to have direct experience in a foreign culture.She lives in Dallas with her family.
