What is your research area?
My research focuses on promoting change in health behaviors, such as exercise and vaccination, in order to promote health.  I also focus on psychological processes underlying adjustment to chronic illness.  Finally, my research investigates the role of affective and cognitive factors on health outcomes. 

What is something cool about your field?
The interdisciplinary nature of clinical health psychology is very exciting.  Clinical health psychology has implications from the individual level to population level, and from the medical field to policy-making. 

What is the best thing you've done as a graduate student at SMU so far?
I've become involved in exciting projects that expand my current knowledge.  

What is your favorite thing to do in Dallas?
My favorite things to do in Dallas are check out new restaurants and enjoy the music and arts scene.  

What do you wish you'd known before starting graduate schools?
Before starting graduate school, I wish I had known how exciting it would be to explore cutting edge phenomenon.  

What is your favorite leisure activity?
In my spare time, enjoy yoga, dance, and eating out!
