Keaton Steen

Keaton Steen is from Rockwall, Texas, and is double majoring in Economics and Political Science, with a minor in Public Policy and International Affairs. He is a Hunt Scholar, Pre-Law Scholar, and a member of the University Honors Program. On campus, Keaton serves as Student Body Secretary and Vice President of the SMU Alexander Hamilton Society. He is also a member of the Mock Trial team, a Campus Ambassador, and an Associate Editor of The Dialogue, SMU’s undergraduate political science journal. Additionally, he is involved in Beta Upsilon Chi fraternity and Reformed University Fellowship. Beyond SMU, Keaton has worked on multiple political campaigns and contributed to efforts addressing rapid growth in his hometown. His policy interests include economic development, education reform, and coalition building around social issues. After graduation, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career in public service.
