Owen Bartosh

Owen is originally from Waxahachie, Texas and is a President's Scholar pursuing majors in Marketing and Public Policy with minors in English, Music, and Public Policy and International Affairs through the Tower Center. On campus, Owen serves as Student Body Vice President. He is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the Alexander Hamilton Society, and sits on the Vice President for Student Affairs advisory board, the Cox Undergraduate Council, and the Campus Services Advisory Panel. Additionally, Owen plays French horn in the Meadows Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. Outside of SMU, Owen is a dedicated community advocate, serving on the Board of Directors of the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas and leading fundraising efforts for various causes regarding disability rights and equal opportunity. His professional experience includes internships for the Texas House of Representatives, several local campaigns, and the NGO AMIGA, with which he spent a summer in Prague advocating and supporting integration efforts for Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic. After graduating, Owen hopes to pursue a career in political consulting and marketing with the goal of owning his own national campaign consulting firm.
