Bailey Kamau
Bailey Kamau is a Los Angeles native who currently lives in Little Elm, Texas. She is pursuing degrees in economics, human rights, and African American studies. Prior to SMU, Bailey interned for Faith in Texas and the Dallas Black Clergy conducting research on the voter suppression of Black women. In addition to being a Tower Scholar, Bailey is a University Honors student, a Rotunda Scholar, and the Boaz Director of Engage Dallas. She has also served as the freshman liaison for the African Student Association. She aspires to become a community organizer, combatting the economic and political disenfranchisement of women and racial minorities.
