Biographical Note:

Knut Vollebæk served as Norway's ambassador to the U.S. from 2001 to 2007. He held the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Prime Minister Bondevik’s first government from 1997 to 2000 as a representative of the Christian Democratic Party (KrF). Before that, Mr. Vollebæk was a career diplomat.
