Welcome Message

In May of 2019, SMU Cox welcomed our inaugural Online MBA cohort. Two more cohorts have enrolled since, bringing over 70 students into the Online MBA program, joining the 42,000+ strong network of global SMU Cox MBA students and alumni. And we’re proud to say we’re still growing.

The Online MBA has benefited from SMU’s well-established community while simultaneously founding new traditions like the program’s immersion offerings. In December of last year, students travelled to London, where they had the rare opportunity to explore Brexit at its source, examining its impact on businesses, economies and financial markets. As part of the London immersion, students participated in a hands-on project where they acted as real-world consultants, serving in a cross cultural environment while learning from major corporations and nonprofits like Microsoft and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Upcoming immersion programs include this year’s trips to Seattle in June and Singapore in December.

Since its inception, SMU Cox has taken a unique approach to curating the Online MBA curriculum, drawing strengths from our current on-campus MBA program, while infusing technical and strategic innovations for a cutting-edge online experience. In designing the program, SMU Cox leadership collaborated with global corporate thought leaders to gain insight into skills necessary to succeed in the corporate industry. To best serve our students, we’ve specifically designed the Online MBA program to meet the needs of organizations today, and in the future. Graduates will glean knowledge across our three foundational pillars: Leadership, Analytics, and Experiential Learning, and ultimately learn how to embrace complex problems with business discipline and unwavering confidence.

SMU Cox is committed to building skills in its graduates, nurturing individuals so they can grow over time, and make an increasingly significant impact in their organizations. We invite you to explore our new Online MBA from SMU Cox, and look forward to working with you as you define your path to an MBA.
