    Bruce Shaw is a Senior Research Fellow FCLTGlobal, a Boston-based not-for-profit that works to encourage a longer-term focus in business and investment decision-making – and a Senior Advisor to the SSD/Bartos Companies. In 2018, Mr. Shaw held an ALI Fellowship appointment at Harvard University where he focused on the future of capitalism and free markets. Prior to Harvard, he helped build Dallas-based HollyFrontier Corporation (NYSE: HFC) into an investment grade, independent refining company. From 2008-2011, Mr. Shaw served as Chief Financial Officer of two public companies: Holly Corporation (HFC’s predecessor) and Holly Energy Partners LP (NYSE: HEP, an MLP subsidiary). During his CFO tenure, Holly joined the Fortune 500 (2008), issued its first public debt to finance a significant asset acquisition (2009), and merged with Frontier Oil Corporation (2011) to form HollyFrontier. After the merger, Mr. Shaw served as President of Holly Energy Partners LP. Before his tenure at Holly, he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Dallas. Mr. Shaw earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University and an MBA from The Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
