  • Bio

    Artemis Boulamatsi is a postdoctoral fellow at Cox School of Business and The Niemi Center for Economic Growth and Leadership Development. Her primary research interests are centered on newcomers’ socialization and leadership. Within these two broad research areas, she focuses on understanding how newly hired employees interact with other organizational members (i.e., coworkers, supervisors). In addition, she is interested in exploring relationships between dysfunctional types of leadership and follower work-related outcomes and well-being.

    Before joining SMU Cox, she earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from Georgia State University and her MSc in Organizational Psychology from University of Surrey, UK. She also earned her BSc in Psychology from University of Athens, Greece. Artemis also has teaching experience with undergraduate students. Prior to receiving her PhD, she worked in HR in multiple overseas organizations.
