Cox MBA ITOM Scholars

Are you interested in pursuing a post-MBA career in information technology, operations management or business analytics?  Are you looking for the additional guidance to help you make that happen?  If so, you should consider applying for the Cox MBA ITOM Scholars program.

If you plan a career in information technology leadership, or in managing the operations of any company, and are looking to differentiate yourself in the global digital economy, getting an MBA concentration in Information and Operations Management as an ITOM Scholar would be a great step in that direction.

If you enjoy using sophisticated decision-modeling and problem-solving methods, and are looking to differentiate yourself through your analytical skills in this era of business automation and big data, you should consider getting an MBA concentration in Business Analytics as an ITOM Scholar.

The Cox ITOM department is providing scholarship funding and program enhancements to guide up to five top students in each entering class toward careers in operations or business analytics.  Selected candidates will receive:

  • A $15,000 total award, applied in installments of $2,500 to each of your two semesters and $5,000 to your last two semesters in the Cox MBA program, provided that you continue to satisfy these two requirements:
    - declare a concentration in Business Analytics and/or Information and Operations Management
    - maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in the Full-Time MBA program
  • One faculty mentor and one practitioner mentor to help you learn more about the industry.
  • The opportunity to be a student member of INFORMS, the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science, including financial support to attend the annual INFORMS Analytics Conference.
  • (Optional) opportunity to work as a paid teaching or research assistant with ITOM faculty in the second year of the MBA program.
