Summer Business Institute - Pricing & Loans

There is no application fee to apply to the Summer Business Institute. Full program fees are due by May 3, 2019. The cost of the program depends on where you live while you attend the program.

With Campus Housing and Meals

Early and Round One applications before April 1, 2019 - $7,995 (save $500)
Round Two applications after April 1, 2019 - $8,495

Includes:

  • Tuition and course materials
  • Single-occupancy room with breakfast and dinner seven days a week
  • Occasional group meals and special events

Without Campus Housing and Meals

Early and Round One applications before April 1, 2019 - $6,495 (save $500)
Round Two applications after April 1, 2019 - $6,995

  • Occasional group meals and special events 

We accept personal checks (payable to SMU) or Visa, Mastercard or American Express for payment. All fees must be paid in full before any pre-reading materials are sent.

Please note that payments cannot be made through the SMU Bursar’s office because we are a separate department.

Loans

We have been advised by the undergraduate financial aid office of three possible loans that are available for non-credit certificate programs. These are private loans where the funds will be paid directly to you. The student is then required to disburse funds to SMU.

In the past, we have received Summer Business Institute tuition payments from College Savings Plans, such as a 529 Plan or the Texas Tomorrow Fund.

Cancellation Policy:

Upon committing to attendance, the student has reserved a space in the program and is responsible for full payment. If you cancel on or before May 3, 2019, we’ll refund you the full program fee. If you cancel between May 3 and June 1, we’ll refund you half of the program fee. If you cancel on or after June 2, are accepted and paid, but fail to attend, as well as students who drop out during the program, you will not be eligible for refunds
