Traditional business disciplines, particularly accounting and finance positions, currently comprise 6.1 percent of the total energy workforce, and this percentage is rising. In addition, the energy sector is increasingly technology-driven, placing greater emphasis on efficiency and productivity. Today’s energy professional requires expertise in a wide variety of energy disciplines including petroleum geology and engineering, land and legal agreements, operations, accounting and finance, supply chain management, and sustainability. The Kyle Miller Energy Management Program provides our students opportunities in each of these disciplines through a variety of learnings methods including coursework, short courses, experiential learning, and field trips.
