SMU Homecoming and Reunion Weekend 2022 was one for the memory books. Check out photos of this year’s celebrations below.

Distinguished Alumni Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony honored outstanding leaders in philanthropy, business and civic life with the highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates. Hosted by President R. Gerald Turner and the SMU Alumni Board, this year we honored A. Shonn Evans Brown ’95, ’98; C.J. “Don” Donnally, ’67, ’68;† John Cartwright Phelan ’86; Thear Sy Suzuki ’96; and Emerging Leader Emily K. Graham ’07.

Campus tours and reunion parties
Alumni enjoyed tours of SMU’s campus landmarks and new additions like the redesigned Meadows School of the Arts.
The classes of 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017 all enjoyed reunion parties where they reconnected with classmates and reminisced on all their Mustang memories.

Affinity group activities
Hosted by their alumni boards: Asian Pacific Islander Alumni of SMU, Black Alumni of SMU and Latino Alumni of SMU presented their annual Homecoming happy hours and tailgates on the Boulevard to connect with current students and alumni.

Homecoming parade
The Homecoming Parade featured the theme “Bright Lights, Big Cities” with floats and other entertainment were featured around the Boulevard in celebration of SMU Homecoming.

Reunion Village
Reunion Village welcomed undergraduate alumni and their families, including those celebrating their reunion years. We enjoyed food, beverages, games and children’s activities. There was something for SMU fans of all ages.
