Mental Health Clinical Case Manager, Dr. Bob Smith Health Center

The Dr. Bob Smith Health Center at SMU is seeking a Mental Health Clinical Case Manager.  Under the supervision of the Director of Counseling Services, the Clinical Case Manager will provide mental health case management, coordination, and follow-up for SMU Counseling Services clients with complex mental health needs. The Clinical Case Manager will also develop collaborative relationships with SMU campus partners and Dallas area providers, provide consultation for staff, coordinate mental health medical withdrawals, and provide both crisis intervention and initial consultation screenings. The purpose of this position is to connect students with the resources they need to manage their conditions and enhance the likelihood of personal and academic success. The successful candidate will join a campus community that strives to be deeply supportive and conducive to positive mental health and wellbeing.

Administrative Assistant, Department of Student Development

SMU is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Department of Student Development and reporting offices including: Office of the Student Experience, Women and LGBT Center, and the Office of Social Change and Intercultural Engagement. This position provides front line service and information to students, other offices, staff members, faculty, parents and visitors. The Administrative Assistant provides support for special programs, coordinates scheduling and appointments/calendaring, office management, and provides other administrative details for the department.

Residential Community Director, Residence Life & Student Housing

Southern Methodist University (SMU), a private university of 11,000 students, seeks a Residential Community Director. Our beautifully shaded campus of Georgian-Revival inspired architecture is situated in the heart of Dallas. The Residential Community Director provides leadership in developing and sustaining positive academically focused residential communities and in successfully accomplishing administrative functions required in managing a university residence community. Position is live-in and reports to an Assistant Director for Residential Life. The position serves in an on-call rotation.

Director of Academic Initiatives, Residence Life & Student Housing

Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for the position of Director of Academic Initiatives, for the Department of Residence Life & Student Housing (RLSH). The Director of Academic Initiatives serves as a senior staff member within the Department of Residence Life and Student Housing  and oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing assessment for all academic programs and services offered within the residential communities. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President & Dean of RLSH and plays a key role in the strategic planning of the department with a focus on embedding academic programs and initiatives within the residential communities. This position must work collaboratively with the Faculty in Residence (FiRs) and FiR-Affiliates, Academic Affairs, and other departments to create vibrant residential communities that support student learning and academic success. Additionally, the Director of Academic Initiatives will examine the impact of academic initiatives within the residential communities.

Director of Housing Operations, Residence Life & Student Housing

Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for the position of Director of Housing Operations, for the Department of Residence Life & Student Housing (RLSH). The Director serves as a senior staff member within RLSH & oversees the business operations within the department. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Residence Life & Student Housing and plays a key role in the strategic planning of the department with a focus on operations, safety, security, fiscal responsibility, & compliance. 

The Director must create efficient operational practices that focus on student learning, growth, and development. The position contributes to the strategic & capital planning within the department and the execution of housing operations including marketing/promotion of University housing, room assignments, billing, & front desk management. This position leads the department’s occupancy management efforts, oversees the RLSH database software (StarRez), & manages room selection process for students. The Director provides training and support to staff and team members. The position plans, oversees & directs summer conference operations in the residence halls.

Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, The Department of Student Involvement

SMU is seeking an Assistant Director, Fraternity & Sorority Life. The Assistant Director provides training, development, and support for the SMU fraternity and sorority community, including individual members, chapters, councils, advisors and inter/national organizations. Specific advisement is provided to the individual members and 8 chapters of the Panhellenic council. The Assistant Director creates initiatives, events and programs that benefit the entire community. The Assistant Director is also a member of the Student Involvement team and works in service of the department to encourage students to discover their interests and find a sense of belonging through involvement.
