Assistant Vice President & Dean of Residence Life & Student Housing

This position reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs, is a member of the Vice President’s leadership team, and will also have significant interaction with the Provost and other members of the Provost's leadership team. The AVP and Dean of RLSH provides overall leadership for a comprehensive residence life and student housing program, a significant aspect of which is the residential commons model. The residential commons is an integrated living-learning experience that is a close collaboration between academic affairs and student affairs. This newly created position of Dean of Residence Life and Student Housing will play a key role in advancing the residential commons initiative and developing a comprehensive student residential experience. Anticipated Start Date: July 01, 2018.

Residential Community Director - Residence Life & Student Housing

Southern Methodist University, a private university of 11,000 students, seeks a Residential Community Director. Our beautifully shaded campus of Georgian-Revival inspired architecture is situated in the heart of Dallas. The Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, a culturally rich arts and global business center, is home to many universities, arts, organizations and Fortune 500 & 100 corporations. This position provides leadership in developing and sustaining positive academically focused residential communities and in successfully accomplishing administrative functions required in managing a university residence community.  Position is live-in and reports to an Assistant Director for Residential Life.  The position serves in an on-call rotation.

Director of Pharmacy - Dr. Bob Smith Health Center

The Dr. Bob Smith Health Center, at Southern Methodist University, is seeking a Director of Pharmacy at our state-of-the-art campus facility. The Director of Pharmacy provides a full range of pharmaceutical services for students of the University. Provides pharmaceutical care using approved protocols in collaboration with clinic providers. Provides tasks associated with the selection, preparation and storage of pharmaceuticals and dispenses medications providing patient education for prescription and over the counter products. Responsible for managing inventory, record keeping and reporting for the pharmacy. Responsible for coordination and oversight of the pharmacy and supervises other pharmacy staff. The Director utilizes the pharmacy management software to run daily operations and administer basic functions. The Director is responsible for ensuring that the pharmacy provides excellent customer service while also adhering to complex regulations and continuing to meet revenue targets.
