Director, Office of Social Change and Intercultural Engagement, Department of Student Development

SMU’s division of Student Affairs, is seeking a Director of the Office of Social Change and Intercultural Engagement. This position oversees the daily operations and provides strategic leadership for the office. The Director supports existing and develops new initiatives supporting community engagement, multicultural student support, diversity, inclusion, and social justice education. Additionally, the Director works collaboratively with other campus departments and offices to support underrepresented students and social justice efforts, develop and deliver diversity and social justice education curriculum, and implement experiential community engagement programs. The Director is responsible for the operational management and supervision of the department and staff members.

Assistant Director, Office of the Student Experience, Department of Student Development

The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the vision, initiatives, programs, and daily operations of the Office of the Student Experience. This position provides management of the University’s efforts to initiate, support, track, and evaluate leadership initiatives and support student efforts to incorporate leadership into their SMU student experience using an institutional leadership framework. The Assistant Director will serve as the primary advisor for leadership programming and is responsible for providing support for departmental leadership development. This position coordinates support for SMU's international student population.

Student Involvement Financial Coordinator, Department of Student Involvement

SMU is seeking a Student Life/Fraternity & Sorority Coordinator. The Student Life Coordinator provides training, development, advice, and support or the SMU fraternity & sorority community including individual members, chapters, councils, advisors and inter/national organizations. Specific advisement is provided to the individual members and chapters of one or more Greek Council(s). The Coordinator also supports initiatives that benefit the entire SMU student community including event planning, budget management, training and development, advice and support for SMU students and the fraternity and sorority community. The Coordinator is a member of the Student Involvement team and works in service of the departmental mission, and divisional strategic plan.

Employer Relations & Marketing Specialist, Hegi Family Career Development Center

The Employer Relations and Marketing Specialist will create multichannel communications plans, develop a unified approach to Hegi Family Career Development Center correspondence to diverse campus communities and stakeholders, create compelling on brand content, be responsible for writing and editing online marketing content, be able to strategically identify and build relationships with regional, state, national, and international employers for recruitment of university students and alumni, and collaborate with the internal Employer Relations Team to bring employer focused opportunities and events to SMU students.

Student Support Coordinator, Student Support, Advocacy, and Accountability

The Office of Student Support seeks a Coordinator whose primary function will be to address the needs of students experiencing challenges, including academic, social, emotional, financial, behavioral, and health concerns. The Coordinator will provide interventions, referrals, and follow-up services and will have oversight of the emergency loan process. The Coordinator will work collaboratively and consult with a variety of university resources to foster student success. The Coordinator will also develop and deliver training to students to increase awareness of services available in the office. The Coordinator serves as a member of the Student Support, Advocacy, and Accountability team and supports the office mission, and also supports the implementation and realization of the goals and learning domains in the student affairs strategic plan. The Coordinator will be supervised by the Associate Director of Student Support.
