Assistant Director, Parent & Family Programs
Brooke serves as the Assistant Director of Parent and Family Programs and Transitions at SMU. Her higher education journey started at Texas Christian University (TCU) where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism and minored in Business. From there, Brooke earned her master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Student Affairs from Texas A&M University (TAMU). She has worked in new student and family programs, student engagement, student organizations, leadership programs, and graduate programs while at various institutions which include: TCU, TAMU, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and most recently, Vanguard University in Southern California.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and serving the community. She feels grateful to be a part of the Mustang community and always loves the opportunity to connect with students and families!
Coordinator, Leadership Programs
Rylea Wertzberger is serving as the Coordinator for Leadership Programs in the Office of the Student Experience. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, Management, and a minor in Sales. Rylea is currently pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education at SMU. She was actively involved in her Panhellenic affiliated chapter and various leadership and orientation activities during her time at Oklahoma State. She brings years of leadership experience, a lively personality, passion for students, and always has a listening ear.
She is very excited to welcome new Mustangs to campus and teach students about the 7 Leadership Frameworks at SMU.
Graduate Assistant, Leadership Programs
Ivanna Stefan serves as the Graduate Assistant for Leadership Programs in the Office of Student Experience. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Ivanna is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Accounting at SMU. During her remaining time at SMU, she is excited to continue her involvement in the university and have an impact in the SMU community! By assisting in the various leadership programs, she hopes to help students develop personally and professionally.
Ivanna feels grateful to be able to give back to the SMU community and offer help to other students in any way she can!
