The Business and Finance Office in the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, serves the SMU Student Affairs community. The department is led by Assistant Vice President for Finance and Executive Director, Robert Watling.

This office is responsible for ensuring professional business cohesion within the departments in the three core areas - Business, Staff, and Finance.  Among others, the department develops and ensures compliance of divisional financial policies and procedures, performs divisional strategic planning, financial analysis, and provides overall student support. Besides maintaining staff leave records for the division, managing staff position/appointment and salary increase processes, and functioning as liaison to the Human Resources Department, the department also manages the budgets and budgetary process, and the divisional periodical financial reports.

Submit your departments Certification for Financial Statements to Julius by the 15th of each month.
