Approximately 3% of SMU students identify as Hindu. The Office of the Chaplain and Religious Life work closely with the South Asian Student Association to support Hindu religious observance. The South Asian Student Association hosts a Diwali celebration each Fall, and the OCRL collaborates with SASA for a Diwali puja on campus.
