The acknowledgement of new members into the SMU McNair Scholar program is an important event for students, the program and the school. The ceremony represents high levels of achievement and will provide an excellent opportunity to reflect on the high standards of the program. Dinner will be provided.

Student walking tour and presentation of local HBCUs in conjunction with the College Access Program. Prospective schools include Xavier University, Tulane University, and Southern University, Loyola University, Dillard University and Louisiana State University. More details to come.
GRE MATH/VERBAL/ANALYTICAL REVIEW SESSION

Students will develop appropriate methodologies for research, analyze data, and arrive at informed conclusions based on evidence in a 6 weeks Method Course, along with faculty mentoring and research. in addition, scholars will receive an intense GRE training class and travel to attending a National Conference engaged in professional seminars, group discussion and research presentations.
