Meet Our Graduate Assistants

My name is Addison Smith, and I am a graduate student pursuing my Master of Science in Sport Management (MSSM) here at SMU. I am from Knoxville, TN, and grew up competing in numerous sports. I completed my undergrad degree at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Exercise Sport Science (Sport Administration) and a minor in Conflict Management. During my time at UNC I was a member of the Women’s Swimming & Diving team.

Within the MSSM program, I am looking forward to learning all the ins-and-outs of the sports business industry. This position has also allowed me to dive into the administrative side of the university, where I have grown my network with school faculty, alumni, members of the DFW Sports community, and my own student cohort.

Beyond my time at SMU, I am seeking a career within intercollegiate administration or development, specifically focused on female student athlete success.
