Writing Center

Fall 2019 Writing Center Schedule

The Writing Center will open on the first day of Fall 2019 classes, Monday August 26. Appointments for The Writing Center are available to all undergraduate students through CANVAS. The Writing Center offers consultation on the writing process at any stage of writing; however, we do not offer general editing services.

General Hours for Appointments

Monday-Thursday

11am-5pm

Drop-In Consultations

 Fridays

10am-4pm

Drop-in hours are for short consultations that do not require a 30 minute appointment. Students may drop-in at their convenience to work one-on-one with Writing Center faculty or receive less intensive support for more independent work.

Writing Labs

Monday-Thursday

See schedule and locations below.

Writing Labs are offered in a drop-in, group setting to assist students with occasional questions as they work. Writing Processes (WP) Lab offers support at every stage of the writing process. In addition to WP, we also offer focused labs in which a student may work on writing processes in general, or receive specific help: the Communications and Writing (C&W) Lab aids students with papers, presentations, and other written communications, and the Research and Writing (R&W) Lab aids students with research, information literacy, integrating research into papers, citing sources, and other aspects of using research in writing. A librarian and a member of the Writing Center faculty will be on hand to aid students in the R&W Lab.
