Export Controls
The US Government regulates the shipment or transfer of certain items, software, and technology to foreign entities or foreign nationals. The regulations focus on those exports and re-exports that are related to national security, economic, and/or foreign policy concerns. Fortunately, much of the work performed at universities is exempt from Export Controls due to exclusions for Fundamental Research, Educational Information, and Published Information. Research Compliance is here to guide you through the complex federal regulations.
Research HandbookDetails about the Export Controls regulations, exclusions, Technology Controls Plans, and training can now be found in the Research Handbook. |
