Current and prospective SMU students can earn credit or placement through CLEP, DSST, MAT, THEA, LSTAT, or select others.

  • Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA)
  • Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
  • Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)

We also provide fee-based proctoring services by appointment for local distance learners enrolled at other institutions. Please review our Proctor Request Procedures (forthcoming) to arrange a proctored exam.

High school students testing for dual credit, academic acceleration or other programs must be age 14 or older and must have a parent or guardian remain on site at all times if under the age of 16.

The University Testing Center contracts with Castle Worldwide/Scantron, Inc. (forthcoming) and PSI (forthcoming) to provide professional testing for certification, licensure and employment.
