Engaged Learning program is a campus-wide initiative to enhance student learning with experiential learning opportunities through its programs: the Engaged Learning Fellowship, Big Ideas, Clinton Global University, and various other campus partner opportunities.

Engaged Learning promotes the vision that all undergraduate students, as part of their SMU education, complete at least one signature work - connecting a personal passion to academic learning and turning it into a project of their own. The Engaged Learning initiative helps students develop a significant and sophisticated understanding of disciplinary knowledge by putting it into practice while a student at SMU.
