A Houston Lay School of Theology day-long course
Bishop Scott Jones and Rev. Arthur Jones will present both the content and the context of their recent book Ask: Faith Questions in a Skeptical Age. Working from their knowledge of the religious landscape in the United States, they will address pressing questions, such as
Can only one religion be true?
Why is there suffering and evil?
How can I believe in science and creation?
How can I believe in a God I can’t prove?
Why do Christians disagree about so many things?
This father and son team will stimulate a deeper understanding of how Wesleyan Christianity provides hope for the future.
Lunch and the purchase price of the book are included in the registration fee. Books will be distributed at the class. Online registration will be available December 4, 2017.
Childcare can be made available through St. Paul's United Methodist Church for this class with an advanced request. For more information please email Priscilla Pope-Levison or call 214-768-3445.
