Inside Perkins Information Session Planned for Thursday, Oct. 6
DALLAS (SMU) – Is theological education possibly in your future?
All prospective degree and non-degree students are invited to attend Inside Perkins, a free information session offered by Perkins School of Theology, from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.
Inside Perkins participants will have an opportunity to engage with students and faculty, attend a class and worship, tour the school’s facilities and learn more about admissions and financial aid. Additionally, attendees can learn more and inquire about Perkins’ Global Theological Education and Intern programs as well as take part in a panel with current students. Attending one of two evening classes from 6 to 8:50 p.m. also is an option.
An important reminder: all applicants who submit a completed application before March 1, 2017, will receive a fee waiver.
“We consider it a privilege anytime we can host potential students at Perkins and interact with them on their journey of a deeper understanding of faith and ministry,” said William Jennings Bryan III, Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Perkins School of Theology. “The programs and offerings we have at Perkins certainly will prepare individuals for any of a wide range of positions in ministry.”

Perkins School of Theology, founded in 1911, is one of five official University-related schools of theology ofThe United Methodist Church. Degree programs include the Master of Divinity, Master of Sacred Music, Master of Theological Studies, Master of Arts in Ministry, Master of Theology, Doctor of Ministry, and Doctor of Pastoral Music (June 2016) as well as the Ph.D., in cooperation with The Graduate Program in Religious Studies at SMU’s Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences.
