Greater Alaska Theological Education On Tap for Sept. 16-17 in Anchorage - The conference, which will take place at St. John United Methodist Church, will consist of a Friday-evening lecture and Saturday workshops presented by Perkins professors Jaime Clark-Soles and Hugo Magallanes. (9/12/2016)

Perkins School of Youth Ministry Registration Now Available - "Dream Again" is the theme for the 2017 conference, scheduled for Jan. 9-12. Filmmaker and author Marlon F. Perkins to Host 'Crosstalk' Seminar on Monday, Feb. 20 - Dr. Alyce McKenzie joins five other Perkins professors in presenting constructive, healing models for preaching.

Early Admission Deadline Nov. 1: Fee Waived, Scholarship Priority - Apply by Nov. 1 for priority merit scholarship consideration. Applications now being accepted for Spring and Fall 2017 enrollment, with the fee waived through March 1.

Perkins Chapel to Host Midday Service of Prayer and Lament in Response to Tragedy in Orlando - Join the SMU community as we remember and mourn the lives lost.

Service of Lament and Prayer Brings Communities Together to Grieve for Victims of Tragedy in Florida - Rev. Dr. Mark Stamm, Professor of Christian Worship at Perkins School of Theology, and Rev. Dr. Stephen Rankin, Chaplain and Minister to the University at SMU, led the service that took place June 15 in Perkins Chapel.

Houston Lay School of Theology Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20 - Professor Jack Levison to present "Holy Spirit 101" at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

Merit Scholarship Deadline is Feb. 1 - Each year, nearly 75 percent of Perkins students will receive some form of financial assistance from Perkins School of Theology. Perkins also will waive its $50 fee for all applications completed by March 1.

Procter-Smith Earns Top Honor from North American Academy of Liturgy - The Le Van Professor Emerita of Preaching and Worship was presented the Berakah Award during NAAL's annual meeting on Jan. 9 in Houston.

Perkins Dean to Deliver Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Sermon on Jan. 21, 2016 - The "Ecumenical Celebration of the Word of God," to take place at University Park United Methodist Church, is part of the annual eight-day observance (Jan. 18-25) -- sponsored by the World Council of Churches -- that encompasses Christian congregations and parishes across the globe.
