March, Prayer Vigil set for Nov. 17, 12:30 to 2 p.m., Sponsored by Perkins Black Seminarians Association, Justice in Action Committee

"A March from Brokenness and Resistance to Solidarity and Wholeness," will be held Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 12:30 to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Perkins School of Theology's Black Seminarians Association and the Justice in Action student group.

The prayer vigil and march will begin on the steps of Perkins Chapel (6001 Bishop Boulevard) and conclude on the steps of Dallas Hall. Lawrence, SMU Chaplain Rev. Dr. Stephen Rankin, Justice in Action Chair and Los/Las Seminaristas President L. Robin Murray, Perkins Black Seminarians Association President Forest Turner Jr., Perkins students Corrie Hermans (Vice President, Perkins Student Association), Donte Ford (M.S.M. candidate), and Christian Watkins (M.Div. candidate), Perkins professors Dr. Heidi A. Miller and Dr. Tamara Lewis, Faith in Texas Director Rev. Edwin Robinson, and Founder and Senior Pastor of Joy Tabernacle AME Church in Dallas Rev. Dr. Michael Waters (M.Div.’06, D.Min.’12).
