Associate Professor of Ethics and SocietyTheodore Walker, Jr. is Associate Professor of Ethics and Society at the Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. His appointment at Perkins was preceded by one year of service to Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, Florida, and three years of service to Hood Theological Seminary, Livingstone College, Salisbury, North Carolina. He is author of EMPOWER THE PEOPLE: SOCIAL ETHICS FOR THE AFRICAN-AMERICAN CHURCH, vol. 5 of the Bishop Henry McNeal Turner Studies in North American Black Religion Series (Maryknoll, New York: Orbis Books, 1991), and a contributor to other books and journals.
