OIT Tech Fair 2011: Mobility & Collaboration

Join us for the 2011 Tech Fair!

Join us for a variety of training sessions, discussions and presentations on various technology focused on mobility and collaboration. 

Vendor Hall

Tables will be set up and staffed in one of the Ballrooms offering the opportunity to ask questions and see some of the latest technology.  The following vendors will be on hand to share their products and expertise:

Introducing Lync—Enterprise IM, Presence, and Desktop Sharing:
OIT will be introducing a brand new service this month-Microsoft Lync. Come learn how to configure and use this service to communicate and collaborate with this powerful technology. Facilitated by Abby Kinney

Inside.SMU Spotlight
Not sure how Inside.SMU can help your department? Come and hear from staff members from various campus departments who have implemented an Inside.SMU team site to help solve a business dilemma. Donna Dover (Provost’s Office), Julius Mwangi (DEA), Timothy Norris (Academic Advising) will share their experience in building and implementing a solution using Inside.SMU. Inside.SMU and Office 2010: Changing the way you work
Believe it or not, Office 2010 has a wealth of tools built in that could completely transform the way you work! These tools are tightly integrated with Inside.SMU. Learn how to display Excel charts or worksheets, create document templates or sets of documents to be used (and reused) by your department, and how to integrate Outlook tasks, contacts and calendars with your team site.
