Summer Implementation Plans for STABLE We are nearing the first anniversary of the launch of STABLE at SMU and we continue to enhance the current functionality while implementing new processes this summer. OIT Completes 100G Edge Router Project for R1 Last month, OIT Networking Team completed the installation of new equipment in the data centers that could give SMU a tenfold increase in internal and external internet speed. New Looks Coming to Single Sign-On & Duo Pages While we recently had updates to the Duo two-factor authentication mobile app, there are a couple of additional, minor changes that will be taking place in the coming weeks.

Simple Syllabus Takes Tedium Out of Submitting Syllabi SMU has launched a new service to assist you in building and sharing your syllabi in your courses, Simple Syllabus. Faculty can use it now for their May and Summer Term courses.

Visio for the Web Now Available at SMU A lightweight version of the popular flowcharting and diagramming software Visio is now available to the SMU community, so you can create professional diagrams anytime, anywhere.

Code42 CrashPlan Backups Move to New Location CrashPlan enterprise backups of University-owned devices are being migrated to a new backup storage location requiring new backups to be created. Canvas Corner: May 2022 Edition This edition discusses the changes to time zones in courses, fill-in-the-blank questions, and a new way to do your syllabus.

OIT's Strategic Plan for 2022-2025 Last month, OIT released a new Strategic Plan and mission statement for 2022-2025, outlining the various goals and initiatives that will guide our efforts for the next few years. Web Browser Updates Bring Changes to my.SMU Browser Recommendations We have recently updated our my.SMU service page with some new tips on using the service with your browser of choice, and we'd like to summarize them here!
