William J. Abraham specializes in religious epistemology, John Wesley, doctrine of revelation, systematic theology, philosophy of religion, and evangelism.

His research interests include Wesleyan and Methodist theology, Cardinal Newman, renewal movements in Christianity, ecclesiology, divine revelation, and theological education.

Books by Abraham include Crossing the Threshold of Divine Revelation (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 2007), Canon and Criterion in Christian Theology (Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1998) and The Logic of Evangelism (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, 1989).
