Geothermal Lab Coordinator
Maria Richards is an authority on geothermal energy -- the use of the earth's natural heat to generate electrical power. SMU’s Geothermal Laboratory is a renowned national resource for the development of clean, green energy. She co-directed sophisticated mapping of North American geothermal resources that make it clear that vast geothermal resources reachable through current technology could replace and multiply the levels of energy currently produced in the United States - mostly by coal-fired power plants.
Can Discuss:
- Geothermal energy
- Low-temperature hydrothermal
- Geopressure and coproduced fluids
- Geothermal systems
