Dean of Perkins School of Theology
A New Testament scholar, Craig C. Hill became the 11th dean of Perkins School of Theology on July 1, 2016. He is the author of Servant of All: Status, Ambition, and the Way of Jesus (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans, forthcoming in 2016) and In God’s Time: The Bible and the Future (Grand Rapids: Eerdmans Press, 2002).
He has held numerous global academic appointments, including visiting professor in Russia and South Korea, served as a visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge and a Henry R. Luce Fellow at Yale Divinity School. He was appointed as the first non-Anglican chaplain at Christ Church College, University of Oxford. Additional pastoral experience includes director of Christian Education at First United Methodist Church, Meriden, Conn.; as associate pastor at First United Methodist Church, Peoria, Ill.; and as associate pastor at Woodside United Methodist Church, Springfield, Ill.
