SMU Women's Basketball Coach Rhonda Rompola could post her 400th career victory on Thursday night when the Mustangs play Tulsa.

SMU coach Rhonda Rompola could post her 400th career victory on Thursday when the Mustangs (19-5 10-1) play Tulsa (11-13 6-5) at 7 p.m. in Moody Coliseum.

A Mustangs victory would also clinch Rompola’s ninth 20-win season. A six-time conference coach of the year, she has led SMU to seven NCAA Tournament appearances and four WNITs in 21 seasons.

Rompola became the all-time victory leader of SMU coaches in November 2011 when she passed men’s soccer coach Schellas Hyndman with her 369th victory.

The Mustangs, coming off a 74-67 victory at Memphis, have won 11 of their last 12 games. Keena Mays leads the league’s top scoring offense averaging 19.6 points. Senior Alisha Filmore, averaging 11.9 points, needs 24 to become the 20th 1,000-point scorer in school history.
